Week Five

I hope you all enjoyed your week off from the blog but now it's back to the grind of posting, reading, and responding. First I want to say that you all did good during week three posting - it was really interesting to read what you all chose to write about. For this week I want to give you all some freedom again but I want you to do it under the pretense that you create a conversation with your classmates. You can write about something going on in the news, on campus, in your life, or anything like that. After you start your conversation you need to become active in several other conversations (that means you need to not only respond but check back and see where the conversation goes and if respond again if you need to or want to). You need to become active in at least three posts other than yours (I know that seems like a lot but it really isn't). Use the comment function on the blog for the conversation. Lets try to get a few really good conversations started!

I'll start!
One of my new years resolutions was to be more spontaneous and the first act was going to Chicago totally out of the blue for New Years Eve. I drove to my best friends house the day before New Years Eve and while driving I though, I want to go to New York City. When I got to her house I sai "Let's go!" We decided it'd be too hard to get a hotel room in New York but thought Chicago was probably doable. We went to her computer, looked up some hotels, called the first one we liked and they had available rooms. That night we made reservations, packer her stuff, and headed to my apartment in Toledo where we stayed the night. The next morning (New Years Eve) we got up at 5 am, drove to Chicago, and had a blast! We stayed in the best hotel , met up with a friend I graduated with for dinner, went to a jazz bar, did MAJOR shopping, and came back on the 2nd (we were going to come back on the first but we had too much fun and decided to stay an extra day). It was the greatest!
